J2EE: According to the definition given by Sun Microsystems, J2EE is a set of standards and specifications for the development of business applications based on JAVA technology. This could be summarised by the following formula = JAVA + additional Components oriented to business (EJBs, JSPs).
.Net: .NET is the new development model by Microsoft. It is absolutely unlike previous models. It is based on open standards (XML, Web Services), and it inherits the experience of the most advanced languages oriented towards objects.
